• INFO: Elizabeth (Wagenmaker) Farber, age 94, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015. Elizabeth was born on February 22, 1921 in Muskegon to William and Adrianna DeRuiter. On February 24, 1939 she married Albert Wagenmaker and together they were blessed with 6 children. Elizabeth worked hard caring for her children while they were growing. She also worked side by side with her husband on the family business, in the greenhouses for many years. In 2001 after 62 years of marriage Albert passed away. She then married Gene Farber and they enjoyed 12 years of marriage before his death in 2014. Elizabeth was an active member of Muskegon Christian Women's Club and Fifth Reformed Church. She was very involved in and led Bible studies at Church. Hosting company was one of her favorite things to do with her coffee pot on and homemade cookies. Elizabeth was an avid gardener and enjoyed music, cooking and spending time with her family, all 100 of them. She was a joyful woman of God who showed unconditional love to all those lives she touched. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her 6 children, Adrianna (Herschel) Kellis, Linda (Donald) Hyma, Donna (Rodney) Sorn, Bruce Wagenmaker, Paula (Gerald) Ellis and Brian (Jackie) Wagenmaker; 20 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and one on the way; sister, Connie Deyoung; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Albert; second husband Gene; parents; 6 sisters and 3 brothers. Interment will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 4pm on Thursday June 18, 2015 at Fifth Reformed Church 2330 Holton Road, Muskegon. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Fifth Reformed Church Missions Fund.
